Slovak Design Center

visual identity, campaign

Made in collaboration with:

The visual identity was developed as part of a two-year collaboration with the Slovak Design Center. The conceptual foundation remains shared across both editions: our starting point is the design process itself—the tools and materials that precede the final outcome, such as molds, matrices, and printing blocks.

For this year’s identity, we focused on the silicone mold and plaster cast—fundamental materials used in prototyping. While we respect the logic of traditional making, we approach it with freedom: sensitive composition and typographic play form the backbone of the visual language. This principle extends across all media, from online communication to printed materials and spatial applications.

This edition was not accompanied by a physical exhibition; instead, the NCD25 City Campaign brought the nominated and winning projects directly into the public space, making the award accessible to a wider audience.

The National Design Award is a complex, year-round project encompassing the creation of promotional materials, the development of the exhibition campaign, and the visual identity for the Award Gala. Establishing a visual language that is clear, consistent, and grounded in a strong conceptual framework was therefore essential to our approach.
