Typogaráž is an independent space dedicated to contemporary type design, typography, and book design. Functioning simultaneously as a gallery, workshop space, and laboratory, it creates a platform for exhibiting, experimenting, and critically discussing typography and the graphic design of publications and printed matter. Typogaráž hosts typeface launches, book presentations, talks, masterclasses, and the occasional typo-party—filling a long-standing gap in the local design scene.

The choice of a garage as the venue is intentional. It reflects our commitment to reclaiming and revitalizing public spaces that have lost their original function. At the same time, the garage carries a symbolic link: a place of DIY culture, hands-on tinkering, and meticulous work—values that resonate strongly with type designers, typographers, and book designers.

Over the six years of programming Typogaráž, we have shaped its events and, in parallel, its visual identity. The identity is built on the principle of tuning—modifying, remixing, and reworking existing visual materials, whether typefaces or posters from previous events. Metallic colors, inspired by automotive spray paints, form a recurring visual element, bringing a raw, workshop-like quality to the graphic language.
